Headquartered in Europe and with over 80 years of history, our client is one of the pioneers in the design of audio and home appliances. Due to rapid business expansion in the region, they are looking to recruit an experienced Merchandising Manager to join the fast expanding team in Hong Kong office.

About the Role

Reporting to the General Manager, you will lead a team of 2 covering the merchandising operation in Asia. This is a key role in managing the product sourcing & development operation within the large home appliances business unit. As a department head, you will proactively source new suppliers and recommend different products from Asia to head office in Europe. Your responsibility will also include product development which you are required to follow up new product concept and design from head office and work out the project with qualified manufacturers in the region. In addition, you will also handle all the process from technical drawing, tooling cost, mock up sample, tooling sample, production sample to mass production and shipment as well as co-ordinate with engineers from manufacturers and company on production scheduling.

The Ideal Candidate:

Suitable candidates will be BA Degree holder with at least 10 years merchandising experience gained from large home appliances (white goods) organisations. He/she will also equip with a wide range of product channel & sensitive taste of potential products. Solid export business for the European market and high commercial sense to realize market needs as well as high coordination ability with customers and suppliers are key success factors. You will enjoy frequent global travel and assist in the rapid business expansion. Complete fluency in both English & Mandarin is compulsory.
