Then PUMA is the right place to be! Become a member of our successful Development team based in Hong Kong. We are currently looking for a Senior Developer, Fabric Apparel.

Your mission:

• Source new materials / suppliers based on Brand requirements;
• In time and in support for the seasonal garment development phase from Fabric Concept through to “Buy Ready” approval;
• Research material trends (Fibres / Prices / Newness) and present market relevant fabric concepts to Design and Product development teams;
• Manage the selection of the most appropriate fabrics and suppliers;
• To approve test reports for each fabric, resolve / filter borderline performing fabrics and validate fabric RSL compliance (with effective dates).
• Ensure fabrics meet Brand’s expectations in terms of quality and price;
• Working closely with suppliers and developers on seasonal developments;
• Ensure seasonal sampling requirements of materials are fulfilled in time and in right quality;
• Pro-active alert any potential quality, as well as color matching issues;
• Other ad hoc projects as required;

Your talent:

• High Diploma or above in Textile / fashion, Textile Chemistry or related disciple
• Possesses 8-10 years of relevant experience in functional fabrics (both knit and woven) is highly preferred
• Comprehensive knowledge of textile production, fabric construction, functional performance properties, fiber and yarn dyeing, all over printing and panel printing techniques and finishing processes.
• Testing laboratory experience is preferable. Knowledge of RSL requirements.
• Strong communication skills in English (both spoken and written)
• Good computer skills
• Excellent team players;
• Good contacts with suppliers in HK, China and Taiwan, HK, China, Vietnam Taiwan, Indonesia, Japan, and others.
