Responsibilities

• Assist the Purchasing Director by perform purchasing, sourcing, and inventory control activities, scope includes price and contract negotiation with manufacturers, cost analysis, purchase orders and documents follow up, explore the new products to suit the market needs, keep the inventory in a healthy level and monitor the replenishment needs, inbound logistics management.
• Work closely with internal parties such as the sales and the warehouse team to keep track of inventory movement
• Evaluate and monitor suppliers performance to ensure quality, safety standards and schedules are meet
• Vendor selection and management
• Prepare weekly/monthly reports and inventory control

• Handle ad hoc duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• Diploma or University degree in any related disciplines
• At least 5 years of purchasing / merchandising and importing experience 
• Experience in building materials an advantage
• Experience in PRC purchasing or sourcing a plus
• Based in Hong Kong but frequent travel to PRC as purchasing is predominantly from China
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua)
•  Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Chinese Word Processing
• Self-motivated and a good team player with initiative to work under very dynamic environment and tight deadlines
