Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for the merchandising activities for a product line, including new program development.
• Ensure that yarn/trims/sample are developed to meet buyer’s requirements, to develop alternatives and liaise with buyers, adequate quotations are negotiated and obtained to achieve business objectives.
• To manage Time & Action calendar so as to provide visibility on planning for order placement base on company calendar prior to season start
• To work & negotiate Vendors/Mill on lead-times, capacity planning base on shipping window’s requirement.
• Work closely with global counterpart on projection change management, evaluate and decide methodology to meet the change.
• To monitor order tracking activities to meet quantity, quality, order specification and delivery dates requirement.
• Overseas all elements on the production including stock fitting, trims, yarn, color are up to standards and approved in timely manner.
• System management in Product development and Production with high integrity of data accuracy.
• Communicate & co-ordinate effectively internal and external counterpart.
• Set up Preproduction meeting and handles/troubleshoot production problems and work with factory to present alternatives to both buyers and management.
• Day-to-day communication - email/fax, documentation and filing work.

Qualification & Working Experience

• Minimum 3 – 8 years’ experience in merchandising related area
• Preferably Diploma above holder in Merchandising or textile experience in higher end fashion brand.
• Prefer experience in buying office, garment manufacturing and large trading firms.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent written English in merchandising process, Denim technical and washing terms and production risk, etc.
• Good verbal communication in English. Mandarin and Cantonese are essential
• Experience in managing product for Global Market including USA, EU & Asia Pacific.
• Good PC knowledge and familiar with systems in supply chain management.
• PLM & SAP system knowledge preferable.
