PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:  

• Build strong connection between vendors, cutting edge technology team, commercialization team and home office in US.
• Work upstream with design to understand brand vision, design intent and esthetics, identify possible bottle neck and suggest solutions with partnership of cross functional teams and vendors
• Facilitate regular end-to-end progress meetings, weekly Telepresence and Video Conference.  Connect with functional teams in obtaining all relevant information for the meetings and update the global team on the work progress via email or Telepresence.
• Conduct risk assessments for all bra launch collections globally; collect all related information from regional functional teams and vendors and to report the findings to New York Innovation (launch) Product Development team prior to each pipeline meeting.
• Travel (as applicable) to participate in vendor presentations, discussions and meetings. 
• Monitor vendors’ performance through regular check-ins.
• Work with internal teams to understand designers’ design intent and production feasibility.
• Partner with cross-functional teams and vendors in providing insights and solutions for the latest technologies on product development.
• Co-ordinate with vendors and cross-functional teams to provide technical support on product development issues
• Develop and maintain the progress tracking record in the system and conduct regular analysis on sample status and output.
• Follow up on costing sheets from garment vendors.
• Work with vendors and the Manufacturing Excellence team to provide cost options to the Design team and perform validation.
• Negotiate costs with garment vendors and suppliers.

REQUIREMENTS: 

• Bachelor’s degree holder with at least 8 years of experience in merchandising, sourcing & development.  Bra and sports bra production experience is an advantage.
• Solid product development experience in working with factories and mills.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to lead and collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams in cross-country locations.
