Our client is a global retail consumer goods company.   With the watch category becomes their up-and-coming star in their product portfolio, they are looking for a seasoned Merchandising/Sourcing Manager to join them as their Head of Sourcing.    This is an excellent opportunity for candidates at Senior Manager capacity to step up.

Responsibilities:

• Lead end to end sourcing operations of product category - Watches with active participation in process from design to launch to fulfill customer, time, cost, quality, compliance and readiness requirement. The jobholder has full ownership of global network of watch suppliers and is required to stay connect to watches manufacturing industry.

• Lead the team to provide state-of-the-art sourcing service by managing sourcing activities for finished products, product components and other relevant materials to fulfil competitive sourcing target on time, cost, quality and readiness requirement

• Conduct best in class Supplier Relationship Management to build up strong strategic bonding with key suppliers

• Evaluate and evolve the supplier network portfolio to fulfill business strategies, innovation and seasonal requirements

• Benchmark with international standard on global sourcing process, key performance monitoring system and continuous improvement initiatives to drive for operational excellence and minimizes default risks and dependencies

• Connect to watches manufacturing industry to learn the best practice to identify and monitor opportunities, risks and threats coming from the Supply Chain landscape

• Identify and implement sourcing strategy by defining strategic roadmap with objectives and timeline

• Collaborate closely with marketing, product development, quality, supply planning to ensure a proper flow of information

• Support that purchase orders are placed on time, in defined quality and follow-up

• Cooperate with Quality on monitoring supplier performance and initiates corrective actions / provides proposals for improvement

• Ensures compliance with Swiss Made regulation

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree holder
  
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Watch & Jewelry Sourcing (candidates in Hard goods sourcing from buying office would also be considered)
  
• Excellent project management skills with strategic and international sourcing exposure
• Excellent people management and leadership skills
• Excellent command of both written and spoken English, Mandarin and Cantonese
