Job Description:

• To undertake day to day merchandising duties at SKU level.
• To help develop products that meet Wilkos’ customer expectations
• To visit factories in China on a regular basis to understand their product range capabilities and to build partnerships with the vendor base.
• Liaise with suppliers to ensure best value products are sourced whilst maintaining quality standards.
• Evaluating offer samples to ensure they match the product brief in conjunction with Quality Technologist
• To collate and action PO’s and ensure products are delivered ‘on time’ and ‘in full’
• To assist sign off artwork in conjunction with Quality Technologists
• Ensure appropriate product and supplier documentation is maintained and regularly reviewed for validity.
• To fulfill health & safety obligations by ensuring that safe working practices are adopted at all times.
• To carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by your line manager. 

Education & Experience Required:

• University degree or equivalent
• 1-2 years’ experience in a merchandising role and experience of a UK/European buying /sourcing office
• Broad Hard line product experience is an advantage
• Excellent influencing and negotiation skills
• Excellent planning and organisational skills.
• The ability to work in a small team.
• Excellent spoken and written English & Mandarin is essential.
• Self-motivated individual with high level of integrity
• Willingness to travel extensively in China & Asia
• Strong IT Skills
• The role involves travel to China and overseas – a requirement to stay away from home for period of time is expected.
