We are currently helping our Client in searching for a suitably qualified candidate to fill the following senior position:

General Manager, Property Investment (Based in Hong Kong)

Our Client: A Hong Kong based publicly listed company in diverse businesses.

Roles:

• Reporting to the CEO and the Senior Management team.
• Identifying, sourcing and evaluating investment opportunity in the property and/or land market in Hong Kong, China and Asia Pacific, including land, office properties, commercial properties, shopping mall and retail properties, industrial properties, warehouse properties, complex properties, residential properties, car park, etc. of new, existing, fledgling, and/or under developed/under utilized properties.
• Identifying and sourcing for potential local business partners (for possible joint venture and/or merger and acquisition projects)
• Conducting relevant market research and study, and advising the Management on the property investment climate, trend, and market in the different cities in Hong Kong, China and Asia Pacific (including the local legislation and restrictions).
• Identifying, sourcing and evaluating for reliable local developers and contractors.
• Involving in project design and management, deal assessment and negotiation, project finance, budgeting and return on investment, feasibility study, contract management, property management, etc.
• Setting up local office or representative office on a need basis.
• Building harmonious and effective working relationship with local government authorities.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Degree holder + a minimum of 10 years or above solid experience in property investment in China and/or Asia Pacific. Holder of professional qualifications in surveying, building, architecture, engineering or relevant discipline will be advantageous. (Candidates with less experience and exposure may be considered a less senior position)
• Excellent command of both English and Chinese (Putonghua and Cantonese).
• Willing to travel to China and/or Asia Pacific cities frequently.

Remuneration:

Compensation will be set at a level appropriate to the background, current position and current compensation of the successful candidate.
