Reporting to the Research Manager, the appointee will be required to:

• perform R&D tasks, including preliminary identification of different possible NASMs, study and testing of different solvent mediums, evaluation of dyeing performance, development of database and preparation of reports;
• manage R&D projects, including technical and financial aspects and other project administrative tasks, such as preparing project updates and reports;
• work closely with R&D researchers and personnel;
• coordinate with local and overseas universities, research institutions and business partners, and handle enquires in a professional manner; and
• perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• a doctoral or master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Dyeing Technology, Chemical Science or a related discipline;
• background knowledge of and skills in dyestuff synthesis/ dyeing process;
• highly-organized, capable of working under pressure with multi-task assignments;
• excellent interpersonal skills; and
• fluent in both written and spoken English and Chinese, with a good command of Putonghua being an advantage.
