JOB SUMMARY

The brokerage assistant manager overseeing all operational and Customs/Trade compliance issues related to import/export/transit customs clearance/declaration activities for both small package and freight forwarding business units in Hong Kong. Candidate is also responsible for all service and financial performance resulted from those activities.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Monitors compliance and operations reports to ensure service level goals are achieved and reviews processes to identify non-compliance, inefficiencies and cost reduction opportunities.     
• Evaluates quality performance to identify process improvements and develops quality standards.
• Serves as a liaison between internal customer, external customer, the government, and third party agencies to ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines.
• Monitors various reports to proactively resolve all Customs/trade exceptions timely and conducts error root cause analysis to identify corrective action plans.
• Monitors customs’ memorandums and notices to be aware of customs regulation and changes and industry news which may impact UPS operations and business.
• Identify business opportunities related to brokerage or trade management services to support business growth.
• Determine financial resources required to meet goals. Allocate funds, identifies and resolves discrepancies between available and required funds.

EDUCATION / WORK EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or International Trade with at least 3 – 5 years relevant working experience is preferred
• Legal, regulatory and compliance knowledge with a detailed understanding of Supply Chain concepts
• Basic knowledge of finance and accounting theory and principles on budget management
• Computer literate with good knowledge of MS Office Applications to conduct power point presentation and performance report analysis.
• Positive attitude with excellent interpersonal skill. Able to communicate fluently in Cantonese and English both written and verbal.
