A renowned local retail fashion company is looking for Design Managers (one for menswear; one for ladies’ wear) for its Hong Kong and China markets.

Reporting to the Product Director, you will supervise a design team of 8 people to manage the overall design functions.

You will be responsible for:

• managing the overall design functions of the collections and stylish product lines, includes conducting market trend research, developing collection architecture including theme, color, fabrication, finishing, styles, price point and also fashion graphic, etc.
• developing and merchandising the collection based on a clear understanding of commercial market trends and sales history of different markets.

Job Requirements:

• Higher Diploma or above in Fashion Design or related disciplines;
• Over 12 years of solid experience in designing and product development of comprehensive product range, preferably well-versed in knits and woven items;
• Experience in fashion design, preferably gained from retailers;
• At least 5 years of experience in leading a design team, exposure in fashion graphic and accessories design are essential;
• Understand market trends, lifestyles and customer needs for both Hong Kong and overseas markets;
• With strong passion on fashion, good fashion sense, colour matching and fabric knowledge;
• Good communication and presentation skills;
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (Putonghua, an advantage);
• Sound PC knowledge and well-versed in Illustrator and Photoshop

Candidate with less experience will be considered as Chief Designer.
