On behalf of clients, we are seeking high calibre candidates for the following: 

Positions:  Assistant Vice President/Senior Manager/Manager (Product Development, Pricing, Strategic Planning) - 3 posts

Positions offered would be depending on the qualifications and experience of the candidates.   

RESPONSIBILITIES:  

To execute any of the following job functions:   

a).  Product Development (Assistant Vice President) 

• Research, analyse and provide regular update on market product development for Product Steering Committee.
• Facilitate discussions to develop product strategy which fulfill Client for Life comprehensive product suite.
• Coordinate across relevant functions to review and enhance the process of product launch and ongoing product training program.
• Review and benchmark against market and identify gaps and provide recommendations for enhancement to Product Steering Committee.
• Communicate with channels to provide update on Product Initiatives and Solutions and collect feedback for continual enhancement.
• Support product initiatives and direction developed across Asia

b.)  Product Pricing (Senior Manager/Manager) 

• Support Assistant Vice President, Product Pricing and lead product pricing on new products development, including planning and management of pricing deliverables and analysis of pricing results.
• Coordinate with various functions such as Actuarial, Product, Marketing and IT on product architecture and implementation, assumptions justification and risk assessment throughout the product development and pricing process.
• Conduct reinsurance negotiation.
• Review marketing material to ensure product related information are accurate, review user requirements and coordinate UAT for system development.
• Prepare and review regular business reports and business analysis.
• Manage financial analysis on special quotation and review illustrations.
• Coach and supervise junior colleagues. 

c).  Strategic Planning (Manager) 

• Reporting to the Head of Strategic Planning, 
• Provide support to the senior management in making strategic direction and decision
• Developing strategic business plans,
• Monitoring and evaluating departmental business plans/projects,
• Identifying business opportunities
• Assessing marketing opportunities in the region,
• Preparing business analysis and implementation plan

REQUIREMENTS   

1.  General Requirements  

• Qualified or nearly qualified actuary with degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Statistics or equivalent
• Strong interpersonal, problem solving and time management skills
• Able to work under pressure & overtime
• Knowledge of GGY Axis is a definite advantage
• Excellent working knowledge in Excel & Access
• Proficient in spoken & written English & Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin)  

2.  Experience Requirements  

a.)  for  Product Development (Assistant Vice President) requires  10 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience with minimum 10 years of life insurance experience, in depth product and market knowledge and hands on experience on product development and management, and experience in Product, Strategy or Distribution is an advantage.

b.)  for  Product Pricing (Senior Manager/Manager) requires at least 8 years experience in actuarial operation, preferably in Pricing, and proficient in MS Excel and good knowledge in AXIS. 

c.)  for  Strategic Planning (Manager) requires  6 years working experience preferably in life insurance industry or from consultancy firm with solid experience in strategic planning, strategy development, analytics and research is preferred
