Our MNC insurance brokerage client invites you to join their regional finance team as the Regional Financial Controller for Asia.

Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the Regional CFO, Asia, manage the regional financial reporting team for 13 Asian countries.
• Take care of all the external and internal financial reporting in a timely and consistent basis
• Own all the accounting matters including changes to group and other accordingly policies
• Work closely with regional management on various financial analysis to support decision making
• Present the monthly P&L, cashflow performance in financial reporting meetings with group management
• Own and oversee all financial control processes across the entire region
• Enable sign off by the Regional CEO and CFO, Asia of all internal & external attestations relating to financial reporting
• May also carry the regional CFO responsibilities for some countries, as designed by the CFO, Asia
• Around 70% about business-as-usual delivery and 30% about leading and delivering changes
• Stationed either in Hong Kong or Malaysia, with 30% travel among Asia
• Business focusing on insurance broking & employee benefits re-insurance and personal customer services

Requirements:

• Bachelor or above in finance and accounting or equivalent
• Relevant professional qualifications preferred
• Strong accounting and financial reporting background, ideally in a regional controller role
• Regional experience in delivering financial reporting, accounting changes
• Experienced in insurance and/or insurance brokerage industry
• Ability to identity risks and issues and related actions required to deliver changes
• Risk management experience required
• Good stakeholder management and ability to manage countries CEOs and CFOs
• Able to influence country teams in order to deliver actions and handle conflicts
