Job Description

Summary: Support the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function in Under Armour’s Asian Sourcing Offices across all Product Divisions (Apparel, Accessories and Footwear). This position will oversee a small team and be an integral business partner responsible for challenging and supporting the leadership team, anticipating business issues, and driving good decision-making through sound financial management, while adhering to the main pillars of Under Armour:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Oversee the budgeting and forecasting processes across UA’s Asian Sourcing entities (Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Indonesia and Vietnam)
  • Partner with local HR to deliver resource plans that align to business objectives and fit within budgetary constraints.
  • Partner with the Merchandising, Manufacturing Excellence and Materials teams to analyze and improve UA product margins for Apparel and Accessories
  • Work with both US and Asia Materials Planning teams to develop fabric commitment strategies that reduce lead time and deliver improved margins
  • Partner with the FW Sourcing teams to conduct product costing analysis and drive margin improvements
  • Work closely with the Sourcing and Finance teams to manage the long-range strategic planning models as it relates to our production plans across all product divisions
  • Drive monthly accountability and scorecards for the regional offices
  • Help to drive and administer Duty Optimization programs
  • Own and drive the process around documenting the activities that support our Sourcing Structure and tax positions as it relates to our Sourcing entities

 

Technical Attributes of Ideal Candidate: include but are not limited to the following: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree required. MBA preferred
  • 10-15 years of progressive experience in FP&A, Finance or Business Analysis roles
  • Company Secretarial Skills Required
  • Team player with demonstrated ability to lead and influence others outside of their direct-reporting lines
  • Strategic thinker with excellent analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and articulate ideas and actionable recommendations.
  • Comfortable with language barriers or constraints; bilingual language skills are a plus
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, willingness to “do what it takes” to get the job done-done-done, and commitment to challenging the status-quo to make things better.
  • Able to operate independent of direct, daily oversight – this role will report to a US-based manager
  • Consumer Products and/or Supply Chain experience a plus
