Job Description

The Human Resources Manager, BMSC reports to the Director, Human Resources, BMSC for providing business support to the Brand, Marketing, Sales and Consumer Services (BMSC) in Asia Pacific. Thisposition will execute human resource projects in support of the AP Continent’s BMSC road map according to agreed milestones and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating efforts of team members to deliver projects according to plan. He/ She will work in close partnership with the AP HR team, BMSC HR team, BMSC Planning and Services resources, and BMSC Leadershipteam to support road map objectives and develop operating plans and related processes to implement sustained human resource policies and programs that drive alignment with broader business objectives.The position will work with Continent and Market leaders for delivering of specific human resourceprograms, products and services.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 5 years of HR generalist experience. Experience at Marriott preferred.
  • Experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of development and execution.
  • Knowledge and experience in data analysis, process analysis and facilitation techniques preferred.
  • Experience in managing and or participating as a team member in the implementation of a large business initiative preferred.
  • BS / BA Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or Management, or equivalentrelevant experience.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Strong analytical skills with ability to leverage data to create effective recommendations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence peers and businessstakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Managing Execution: Coordinating the implementation of programs and/or initiatives through anetwork of resources that may not be directly controlled.
  • Project Management: Ability to reflect the needs of the Continent and Market to corporate launch leaders and/or other key stakeholders to ensure the HR Solutions make a positive business impact.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

  • Support the rollout of human resource strategies, initiatives, policies and practices within the Continent in accordance to the AP Continent’s BMSC road map. Achieves operational objectives bycontributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews, preparing and completing action plans, implementing plans, resolving project related conflicts; analyzing data to identify trends; determining system improvements and implementing change.
  • Plans and schedules project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools. Tracks projectmilestones and deliverables. Develops and delivers status update reports, proposals, requirementsdocumentation, and presentations.
  • Partners with project stakeholders, including Continent and BMSC leaders, corporate project teammembers and corporate BMSC HR to successfully implement and pull-through HR processes andprograms in the Continent and ensure talent management and organizational effectiveness deliverables are achieved.
  • Collaborates with the BMSC Communications and Change Management team to develop and implement change management strategies and communications to support the Continent’sstrategic Sales & Marketing plans.
  • Serves as a liaison between the Continent and BMSC leaders to ensure that the Sales & MarketingHR solutions meet Continent needs and can be effectively implemented and sustained.
  • Plays a proactive role in developing and establishing tools & resources for the sales & marketingdiscipline, including standardized processes, tools and templates.
  • Develops best practices and tools for project execution and management.
  • Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing newand different tasks to respond to changing priorities and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Support any business initiatives as assigned by the Director, Human Resources, BMSC.
