Job Description

Operations, Services and Technology – Special Project Team

Hang Seng’s Special Project provides dedicated oversight of and support for the implementation of the Bank’s Financial Crime Risk Management Programme and building a more effective and sustainable Financial Crime Risk management capability for the Bank. The team also drives the strengthening and deployment of the Bank’s Data Management Framework and is a frontrunner in the leadership and delivery of the Bank’s data governance and control structure.

Should you join our Special Project function, you will be exposed to the immediate participation in the Group’s top strategic priority of building the highest standards of Financial Crime Risk management capabilities and data management framework, as well as the direct engagement with wide spectrum of users/stakeholders across local, regional and global levels. We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Project Manager (Data Management) .

 

Principal responsibilities

  • Act as a core member of Data Management Office to drive the implementation of data management & governance framework and good data practice in the Bank
  • Collaborate closely with business / function stakeholders to build an effective data management governance structure and provide consultancy advices on data issues
  • Liaise with Global and Regional team to keep abreast of the latest data strategy and policy and help to drive implementation of data management policy and best data practice in the Bank
  • Act as the project lead of data programme and initiatives to improve data quality and mitigate data-related risk to meet regulatory and business needs.

 

Requirements

  • University graduate in related disciplines or other relevant qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in project management, programme management office and policy implementation.
  • Knowledge in data management will be an advantage
  • Previous experience as an implementation lead and change enabler will be an advantage
  • Good project management, communication and interpersonal skills. Able to work with various level of staff and drive change
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English
  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
