Our equity investment team uses a value approach and manages a global portfolio of listed stocks on an absolute return basis. Our research process is bottom-up. In order to cope with our increased level of market coverage, we are looking to recruit a seasoned investment professional to take a leading role in the China and Hong Kong markets. The successful candidate is expected to contribute stock investment ideas that meet the group’s investment criteria. The main tasks will include identifying, researching, and recommending investment opportunities, as well as subsequent monitoring and exiting of positions.

Requirements

• Prior work experience in analysis and research of Chinese companies is a Must
• Ability to communicate verbally with and source information from CEOs & CFOs of Chinese companies and sell side analysts who cover Chinese stocks
• Ten years of prior work experience in a financial institution
• Proven track record in stock picking in the Hong Kong and A share markets Exposure to other global equity markets would be an added advantage
• University degree or above in Finance/Accounting or related disciplines
• Professional qualification of CFA is a plus
• Fluency in oral and written English and Mandarin Chinese
• In depth knowledge in using Bloomberg or Reuters to facilitate research
• Familiarity with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
