Our client, a well-established bank, is now seeking an experienced candidate to join their team.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee risk management of the Private Banking Department
• Monitor credit risk, market risk and compliance risk with reference to the credit quality and healthiness of assets under management of the high net worth individual customers
• Propose credit risk strategies to optimize account origination and underwriting opportunities to support business growth, while ensuring an appropriate balance between risk and return
• Carry out market risk management projects
• Propose and implement end-to-end credit solutions across the board range of credit and lending products offered to Private Banking clients
• Ensure the implementation of compliance, credit and risk management control policies and procedures in day-to-day business activities
• Set up control systems to ensure the execution of business line managers are in compliance with internal guidelines, policy and procedures and all regulatory requirements
• Work closely with Risk Management Group in developing credit programs for secured lending and drive product development with Treasury & Global Market and Wealth Management Product Team
• Work closely with Private Banking team, Operations & Control, Treasury & Global Markets, Wealth Management and other related departments to build private banking products/services & risk management tools

Requirements:

• University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related disciplines
• Minimum of 10 years’ solid experience in credit review / analysis in banking industry; with prior work experience in Private Banking, Corporate Banking, Commercial Banking, Research or Analytics preferred
• Strong analytical and credit assessment skills with good understanding of lending principles
• Good analytical and good writing skills, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Good team player, drive character and ability to work under pressure
• Fluent in English, Chinese and Mandarin
