Duties:

1. To be accountable to the Head/Associate Head of Department;
2. To manage and oversee the implementation and operation of the Programme(s);
3. To undertake development of the existing Programme(s) and planning of new programmes;
4. To ensure the enforcement of the quality assurance mechanisms of the Institute in relation to the Programme(s) and be responsible for the accreditation/recognition exercises of the Programme(s);
5. To identify and recommend external advisors and external examiners, and to maintain close liaison with the said partners;
6. To engage in liaison with external bodies for promotion and marketing purposes, soliciting additional sources of funding and enhancing links with the industries and professions; and with peer institutions for cross fertilization and furthering research cooperation;
7. To be responsible for the allocation and effective use of the resources made available to the Programme(s);
8. To take up the chairmanship of Programme Committee and serve as an ex officio member on the Academic Board.

Requirements:

1. Applicants should possess a Master’s degree or above in related disciplines from a recognized tertiary institution;
2. Minimum 8 years’ working experience with at least 4 years’ experience in teaching related disciplines and, preferably with experience in programme management and external accreditation;
3. Proven track record in leading a team in the tertiary education sector;
4. Strong leadership with the ability to plan strategically and handle complex issues tactfully in a fast-changing environment; and
5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese.
