ENGLISH TEACHER

For Grade 1-12 writing program (ages 6-18), we are specifically looking for teachers who can inspire students to develop a passion for writing. We welcome teachers who are committed to support students in refining and mastering their writing skills. Teachers should be knowledgeable in and experienced with teaching the components and techniques of different writing styles, while possessing the creative ability to build with engaging and challenging curriculums.

Key Responsibilities

Curriculum planning and development:

• Design and update curriculum materials, research new teaching resources and maintain up-to-date subject knowledge
• Select and use a range of different learning resources and equipment and keep abreast of developments in their field

Teaching:

• Plan, prepare and deliver lessons
• Manage pupil behavior in the classroom and on school premises

Student assessment:

• Correct student work, give appropriate feedback and produce periodic written evaluations on pupils' progress
• Liaise with parents on pupils’ performance and development

Qualifications

• Native English speaker with high proficiency in written and oral English
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher from a well-recognized university with a preferred major in English, Humanities or relevant subject area
• Past teaching experience is valued, but not mandatory. Prefer at least one year of experience in teaching writing, IB / AP English or IGCSE
• Passion for teaching and inspiring children, and committed to enhancing students’ learning capabilities
• Organized, diligent, detail-oriented, problem-solver, excellent communicator, compassionate, flexible
• Valid working visa or HKID preferred
• Available to work on Saturdays and/or Sundays
