SINO-FOREST APPLIED RESEARCH CENTRE FOR PEARL RIVER DELTA ENVIRONMENT (SINO-FOREST ARCPE)

Sino-Forest ARCPE is an applied research centre in the Hong Kong Baptist University aiming at improving the environmental quality of the Pearl River Delta (PRD) region. Major research focuses include environmental and waste management, transboundary pollution in PRD and environmental policy. More details on our research directions and engagements are available in our website http://arcpe.hkbu.edu.hk/. The Centre is now seeking suitable candidates to fill the following vacancy:

The appointee is expected to assist the Centre Director to coordinate community engagement and education projects, and to administer the operation of the Research Centre.

Applicants should possess a PhD degree specialised in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or agriculture, with relevant postdoctoral experience in waste recycling, green roof or environmental education.    Applicants with consultancy and community project experience would be advantageous. Applicants should have good command of spoken and written English, and good communication skills. Applicants with less experience will be considered for the post of Research Associate.

Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of one year. The appointee is expected to commence duty as soon as possible. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
