We now have an opportunity for an Assistant Engineer – Civil to join AECOM where you will be seconded out on site to the Hong Kong Airport, working on the existing terminal upgrade projects. You will ensure projects are delivered safely, timely and in compliance with specified requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in providing engineering solution, design, planning and implementation for refurbishment, alteration and improvement projects of airfield civil assets.
• Identify design and construction issues and liaise with relevant parties to provide effective solution.
• Control expenditures and progress of works within the approved budget and project timeframe.
• Assist in contract administration including review of contractors’ submission, assessment of contractors’ claims and certification of works completion.
• Supervise contractors’ work to ensure quality of service up to standard.
• Conduct general site administration including site safety, quality and environmental monitoring.
• Carry out site supervision of the works and provide technical support including responding to request for information and preparing design change documents.

Requirements:

• A holder of a recognized degree in Civil Engineering.
• Possess not less than 3 years of relevant working experience.
• Experienced in planning, design coordination and contract management.
• Conversant with BD submission and approval processes.
• Possession of a valid HK driving license (class 1, 2) is preferred.

A competitive salary with a 5-day work week will be offered with the opportunity to jump straight onto a live project at the Hong Kong Airport. This appointment will be made on a renewable contract basis.
