Monthly Salary Range:
HK$19,485 – HK$34,485 (for the grade of Assistant Computer Officer II)
HK$14,295 – HK$18,390 (for the grade of Computer Technician-in-training)

Duties: The appointee is responsible for providing IT system administration and application development on Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP platform.

Requirements: Candidates should possess a Bachelor degree in IT related disciplines plus at least one year relevant working experience in IT application development / system administration or Higher Diploma or Associate Degree in Computing/Information Technology or equivalent plus at least four years relevant working experience in IT application development / system administration. Candidates with less experience will be considered as Computer Technician-in-training.

Experience in using open source software and tools including Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP, and their application development methodologies etc.;

Experience in using Microsoft Windows application systems such as Hyper-V, Active Directory;

Sound skills and techniques in application and system problem diagnosis and troubleshooting;

Good analytical and problem solving skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and excellence in team playing and work attitude.

Terms of appointment: Salary placement will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The contract will normally be for 2 years with the possibility of renewal subject to review.  A contract-end gratuity (taxable) will be payable upon satisfactory completion of the contract.  Medical and dental benefits, annual leave and the use of sports and library facilities will be provided where applicable.  The School also provides staff development opportunities.
