Job description:

 The main responsibility is to oversee the end-to-end implementation of IT based business solutions which support the business growth and create values for the customers. The scope covers the initial conceptual design, feasibility analysis, analysis and definition of the requirements of external customers as well as internal users, detailed system design, project management, testing, deployment, training and the ongoing customers’ support of the solutions. There is no boundary to the solutions as long as it creates business values for M+R and its customers. Some examples of the solutions are the Order Management Solution, Warehouse Management Solution, Booking Management Solution, Customized Track & Track Solution, etc.

 With both business and technical focus, the person is expected to take on a key communication role in bridging between the end users (both external and internal) and the technical team members. He / she must be proficient in understanding and analyzing the business and operational requirements / problems as well as the IT capabilities of Company inside-out. Based on that, he / she will design the solutions which balance the business needs and the implementation effort, and most importantly, be able to translate the business requirements into technical languages which can be readily use as input for technical development.  

 This dynamic person is also required to actively support the various teams in other activities related to the solutions including pre-sales, preparation of presentation materials / leaflets, training and user manual, etc.

The successful candidate must have in-depth logistic and IT knowledge and experiences in implementing and supporting solutions with similar nature and scale. He / she must have strong analytical, communication and problem solving skills. Particularly, he / she must have hands-on trouble shooting and technical skills and be capable in drilling down into technical details in the provision of support to the end users.

Through his/her creativity and customer-oriented mentality, the person recognizes the customer needs and develops innovative and pragmatic concepts. The candidate must oversee the projects from the planning to the final implementation.

Requirements:

• Degree holder in IT, Information Systems & Management, Supply Chain Management or related disciplines
• 3-6 years of working experience in a similar role preferably in the supply chain and logistics industry in a multinational organization
• Proven track record in system implementation and project management preferably for similar systems and solutions outlined above and EDI integrations
• Excellent verbal and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) communication ability. Fluency in any other language is a definite advantage
• Strong business acumen and customer orientation
• A team player who works well with peers and has the ability to develop trust and respect of team members in a complex and multi-cultural environment
• Ability to act entrepreneurial and think creatively and proactively
• Ability to work and perform under pressure
• Analytic background and strong problem solving skills
• Strong persuasion, consensus-building abilities and presentation skills
• Hands on knowledge in all Microsoft Office products, especially Excel (macro) and PowerPoint
