The ideal candidate for this DevOps Engineer / System Administrator position is someone with experience with modern configuration management tools (Chef, Puppet, Salt, Ansible,  Terraform), as well as experience in designing high-availability Unix and Linux systems administration in a production setting.   

Responsibilities:

• Provide Unix and Linux systems in a high-availability production setting
• Maintain a fully automated Software Development Life Cycle with Github, Jenkins and JIRA integration for continuous build, test, deploy and destroy capabilities
• Assist automating the configuration, deployment and maintenance of our PaaS and IaaS infrastructure
• Logging and closing JIRA issues that pertain to your role
• Implementing and refining the metering, monitoring and alerting strategy for infrastructure components

Requirements:

• A drive to automate everything
• Software development or strong scripting experience
• Linux or Unix system experience
• Strong familiarity with continuous integration and automated testing tools/frameworks
• Previous knowledge of Github, Docker, Kubernetes would be desirable
• Experience configuring and administering Amazon Web Services (Full stack EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, Route53, ECS) is desirable
• Familiarity with Agile methodology and agile tools (such as JIRA, Confluence)
• Ability to prioritise, work to tight deadlines, manage multiple and changing priorities
• A true passion for entrepreneurship and changing the status quo. A never-ending desire to grow and learn.
