Department of Government and International Studies

The appointee will provide technical support for a teaching and learning project that connects foreign language classes of higher education institutions in Hong Kong and the European Union (EU) on an E-learning platform. The project aims to encourage intercultural communication competence, community awareness and language enhancement. The appointee is expected to design, maintain and update the webpages of the online platform, and assist in promotional activities.

Applicants should have a Higher Diploma, preferably a first degree with relevant work experience, computer literacy including MS Office and HTML, Google Apps, knowledge of computer hardware configurations (networks, server, etc) and be able to set up social media configurations as well as Web 2.0 applications such as Wordpress/Weebly. Fluency in spoken English is essential. Knowledge of and interest in the French/German/Spanish or Italian language would be an advantage.

Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of one year commencing December 2017 or as soon as possible. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.
