Job Description
Our Client is a Global Algo Trading System Solution Provider currently transforming from Waterfall to Agile project management methodologies and they are looking for a DevOps Engineer to support the real time low latency trading system and automate some testing and deployment processes to improve the efficiency of the development cycle. You will work with a group of strong developers and business users and you will be the first DevOps specialist in this team.
Duties:
- Study the trading cycle and the algo trading system to understand what processes/practice can be automated
- Develop automated tools and monitor/support the Trading System
- Provide application support to ensure high performance of the system
- Manage release management and deployment processes of new features
- Provide recommendations on improvement to the system and development process
Requirements:
- 2 years+ in release management and write scripts to automate repetitive processes
- Some understanding of the Trade Life Cycle and different financial instruments
- Able to work closely with both developers and users to design process and work as a team player
- Fluent English and Cantonese
- Good in Unix Shell scripts or Bash scripts or Perl scripts
- Trading System Application support experience is highly preferred but not required
