Job Purpose

You will be responsible for driving profitable business growth by creating and maintaining a profitable portfolio of propositions for both individual and group segments.

Deliverables of the role holder include all market and customer insights to size the market, understand and prioritise segments as well as competition intelligence to inform design of proposition, customer experience and brand strategy. The role holder will ensure new product or product changes are implemented through a robustly governed process. The role holder will also be responsible for the performance of products and revisions.

Accountabilities and Activities:

• Generate market and customer insights through research and market watch, share insights with internal stakeholders and maintain database
• Ensure accuracy of competitors insights, provide recommendations and share with internal stakeholders
• Monitor and manage performance of existing products
• Conduct annual product review and manage the product changes project
• Follow governance and comply with regulations and requirements from any applicable local regulatory requirements and Bupa internal policies
• Design potential propositions with creative ideation based on segment needs
• Assess product performance and propose changes to enhance performance or close gap
• Produce product documentation (proposal, business case, product spec)
• Review product content submitted by other departments
• Provide product training
• Actionable customer insights are being generated from research
• Clear research brief and vendor management
• Sound advice and judgement on methodology, research design and interpretation of insights
• Timely completion of cross functional projects through effective project management and governance (communication, update, issues and risk management)
•  Accuracy of information on product documents (internal and external)
•  Timely update of market intelligence database

To be considered for the role, you should ideally have:

• Educated to degree level, and/or recognized market research or product development qualification or equivalent.
• Relevant business experience on customer insight and product development
• Strong communications, presentation and analytical skills
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
