About the Position:

This is not a laboratory working position. We are looking for candidates who are interested to apply their Science & Technical knowledge in managing the Sample Receipt & Reporting (SRR) team and control the workflow and logistics of the Hong Kong laboratory Operation.:

1.    Operation:

• Working cordially with Laboratory and Section Supervisors;
• Coordinate SRR team to provide quality service in sample receipt, testing registration and report preparation;
• Will be well trained to operate and manage a world-class LIMS;
• Providing support, training and supervision to team to ensure works are completed with efficiency and quality;
• Ensuring all samples are received are log-in on a timely manner;
• Close communicating with client to minimise ambiguities during of sample batch in process;
• Updating client information with LIMS;
• Housekeeping of samples storage.

2.    Human Resource Management:

• Building a high morale working environment;
• A good relationship to other sections is essential;
• Maintaining an efficient working environment and team ;
• Training and mentoring SRR team.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Interested in LIMS and computer skills;
• Proficient English verbal and written communication skills;
• Ability to prioritise work flow and work under pressure;
• Ability to lead and mentor a team;.

Required Qualifications:

• Degree or above in Chemistry, Environmental or other related science subjects;
• 7-10 years laboratory experience, preferably in environmental;
• An appropriate level of aptitude for the section to be supervised and appropriate supervisory skills.;
