Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Capacity Planning

  • Strategically allocate loading with best margin efficiency that meets financial goals based on vendor / factory performance, capability and capacity evaluation. Balance change in demand against capacity and delivery
  • Work closely with the brand and mill partners to layout the short term & long term capacity growth plans
  • Partner with production team to work with vendors / factories to maintain the capacity at the optimal level
  • Closely review the capacity plan & production schedule with the merchandising team in optimise capacity and utilise available vendors / factories
  • Identify and mitigate risks and propose solutions/alternative; Alert management on high-risk areas, which may impact on production and future business
  • Oversee the sourcing and price matrix control; Share the information with production team and management team to driver for efficiencies and performance
  • Manage the plant capacity data including hardware information of the vendors / factories

 Supplier Sourcing

  • Develop deep understanding on the capability and potential capacity of the existing suppliers
  • Support strategic sourcing by introducing new vendors / factories to production team
  • Develop and manage a pipeline of potential new suppliers
  • Standardize and manage the process on vendor approval and management. Provide ongoing support for vendor / factory on-boarding and relationship building

 Compliance

  • Work with QA / Merchandising team to evaluate and measure performance of vendors / factories to ensure performance meets expectations, including lead time, contract commitment, etc
  • Educate vendors/factories to build self-monitoring capacity on implementation of compliance program and assist vendors/factories to develop corrective action plans
  • Stay close to market information, conduct research regularly and share with the teams on the market conditions
  • Manage the key stakeholders across different teams and counterparts to drive changes and results

 Requirements:

  • Degree holder in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related discipline
  • Strong business acumen; analytical thinker, meticulous and able to work under tight timeline
  • Good project management skills and ability to drive changes and improvements
  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to build effective relationship and influence key partners with all levels
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, assertive and organized
  • Strong presence with the ability to interact with Senior Leadership
  • Demonstrates a “can-do” approach in being proactive with work assignments
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite including Power Point, Excel and Visio
  • Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin
  • Willing to travel
  • At least 8 years in apparel supply chain, sourcing and with capacity planning experience
  • With 3 - 5 years’ managerial experience
