Responsibilities:

• To evaluate and ensure sustainability requirements are followed and implemented in production sites by keeping abreast on the updated environmental laws and regulations.
• To support the management of Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) project. proactively by collecting chemical inventory data and other relevant information from chemical suppliers for producing wastewater & sludge reports.
• To monitor and analyze chemical audits and reports on environmental issues according to internal environmental monitoring system. To identify potential chemical/ water/ energy risks in all production sites.
• To set up sustainability team and establish a chemical library for long-term research and reference purpose.
• To provide leadership and direction to the sustainability teams at all production sites so as to enforce sustainability requirements and implement other sustainability projects as required.
• To create and conduct chemical management and other environmental management related training to internal staff located in Asia.

Requirements:

• University degree in one of the following aspects: environmental / chemical engineering/ environmental engineering/ environmental science/ environmental technology/ chemistry
• 3-5 years of professional work experience in environmental industry with exposure to manufacturing industry, for example, chemical/ water data analysis, environmental auditing data, environmental issues on government organizations focused on environmental issues, etc. Knowledge in green and hazardous chemicals is preferred.
• Full understanding of zero discharge of hazardous chemicals program
• Self-motivated, positive and able to communicate at all levels
• High degree of work ethics and integrity
• Positive thinking and adaptability to change
• Independent, responsible and proactive work style as well as the ability to work in a team
• Good PC knowledge (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
• Good command of written and spoken English, Mandarin and Cantonese. Spoken and / or written Japanese is a plus
• Frequent travels are required
