Responsibilities:

•  Assist in the collection and analysis of operational data, assess the performance of different aspects of airport operations and forecast relevant trends in airport operations
• Assess the demands on, and capacities of different airport facilities and develop operational requirements for input to different airport development projects (e.g. the expansion of the airport into a 3-Runway  System)
• Assist in developing simulation models of passenger flows, vehicle flows and other aspects of airport  operations
• Assist in the procurement / development of relevant tools for the above  tasks
• Conduct relevant desktop research and compile research reports
• Take part in ad-hoc projects or tasks as assigned

Requirements:

• Degree holder in operations research, industrial engineering, computer science, mathematics or aviation related discipline with 1 year or less relevant experience
• Knowledge in industrial engineering, operations research or similar fields is preferred
• Good written and spoken English and Chinese (Putonghua and Cantonese)
• Excellent quantitative skills with good writing, presentation and interpersonal skills
• Hands on experience in simulation software (e.g. Arena, Sirnio, CAST or ARCport), statistics software (e.g. SAS or SPSS), AutoCAD, 30  Studio Max, Sketchup is a plus
• Understanding of ICAO, IATA standards and recommended practices will be an  advantage
• Experience in programming in MATLAB, Python, Perl or VBA is  preferred
