Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide detailed analysis, insights & keyword research for new business pitches, strategies and recommendations
- Perform technical SEO audits and optimize websites (speed, UX, content)
- Take ownership of client accounts and implement best practice processes where necessary
- Foster relationships with clients; be attentive, share knowledge, drive results and build trust
- Connect with key local and regional players, including engines (Baidu, Google, Yahoo, Naver), tool/technology developers, and develop unique opportunities for our clients
- Collaborate with agency departments, including creative/copywriting and data/analytics to continue to improve and champion search capabilities
- Developing and implementing link building campaigns, balancing volume and quality and sourcing reputable link building vendors
- Developing wider content marketing and distribution strategies to compliment SEO efforts
Essential Knowledge & Experience:
- Minimum 2-3 years hands-on SEO experience (agency or in-house)
- Knowledge of On-Page SEO best practices (Keyword research, SEO Meta Tags, Content strategy)
- Deep understanding of technical SEO (Website architecture, UX, speed, mobile optimization)
- Knowledge of various off-page SEO strategies
- Proficient in using SEO tools, such as Google Search Console, Baidu Webmaster Tools, and other third-party SEO tools (Ahrefs, rank monitoring tools, Screaming Frog, etc.)
- Experience with APAC search landscape, ideally including China, Taiwan, Korea, Japan
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail and advanced reporting skills
- English and Chinese fluency required; other Asian languages a plus, particularly Japanese or Korean
Desired Knowledge & Experience:
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, JS and website design a big plus
- Familiarity with major CMS (CQ5, WordPress, ModX, etc.)
- Experience working within an agency environment or in client-facing roles
- Experience managing international SEO campaigns, ideally for FMCG or health industry
- Knowledge of SEM and paid media (Display, paid social, remarketing)
- Passion for SEO and technology
- Entrepreneurial, objective and independent thinker – must be proactive
