Our client is a U.S. high-growth biotech startup and medical innovations group engaging in biomedical research and development activities. Their platform facilitates the incubation of portfolio companies committed to creating innovative solutions for healthcare advancement.

They are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate candidate with life science / biochem background. It is a rare opportunity for a candidate who is interested to learn new skills, including product analysis, business, legal, regulatory and science. The role will gain exposure to all aspects of life science company. Candidate will also assist in the IPO listing process and gain working knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on healthcare, life-science & pharmaceutical industries
• Assist business team to perform analyses on pricing & business model of competing healthcare products in the industry
• Advise on pricing strategy, marketing positioning, and business strategy on commercialising some of the existing research in the pipeline
• Conduct financial analysis / modelling to project prospect and return of early stage products (e.g. biopharmaceutical treatments & medical diagnosis products)
• Perform ad hoc research to support acquisitions & financing projects
• Provide assistance on: project management, word processing, contract review, translation and to maintain our database
• Required to combine legal knowledge with industry-intelligence to identify business / legal risks and opportunities

Requirements

• Undergraduate or advanced degree in life science, biochemistry, biology, Medical Science, Pharmacy or related disciplines
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in related sector in healthcare / pharmaceutical research
• Good analytical skills and familiar with the healthcare sector (including products range & pricing of products)
• Capable of working independently and be a technical adviser on industry knowledge
• Well organized and attentive to details
• Self-driven, challenging, and exciting work environment
• Excellent English is preferred
