a day in the life of the Garment QA Technician

The Garment Quality Assurance Technician, LLO, is responsible for maintaining lululemon’s mandate of setting the standard of the highest quality in apparel manufacturing. The vision of the role is to ensure that lululemon quality standards are achieved throughout the development and pre-production process and to assist Field Quality Auditors in continuous improvement effort with suppliers.

Working closely with all cross-functional partners of the SSC Production, Design departments and SSC QA team, LLO Merchandising teams, Field QA, and Suppliers, the Quality Assurance Technician will ensure that the highest quality standards are engineered into the garment and our suppliers are capable of executing in bulk production.

• Bachelors in Industrial Engineering, Textiles and clothing, or a relevant field
• apparel factory floor and/or brand experience, specializing on pattern making and fit evaluation process
• experience in a cross-department apparel industry quality control role
• Knowledge of industry Quality Assurance initiatives such as TQM, six sigma
• Strong knowledge of technical fabrics, garment construction and related machinery
• Technically Proficient - past experience with MRP software. Excel, Word, Power Point
• Excellent communication skills in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin – verbal and written
• Extraordinary customer service, organizational and time management skills
• Strong problem solving and decision making skills
