Scope:

The Laboratory Technician is responsible for the testing and evaluation of all kind of electrical and hardline goods and supports the quality technologist and the merchandiser in all quality aspects. He or she will perform product testing, compiles test reports and evaluates quality and performance of products.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing of test set up.
• Performing tests on electrical products and hardline goods.
• Performing in-house quality assessments on electrical appliances and hardline goods.
• Compiling test reports for control and approval by the quality technologist of REWE Far East.
• Uploading and updating technical documentations on internal database.
• Evaluating the defects of incoming samples against companies quality requirements and discussing results with quality team.
• Supporting and working closely with the quality and merchandise teams for all kind of technical related questions. 

Requirements:

• At least 3 years previous experience in either a European accredited testing lab or associated QA role in European buying office.
• Profound technical experience in testing of electrical appliances and hardline goods.
• Good knowledge of European safety standards and European directives for the above mentioned product groups.
• Knowledge in EU chemical requirements and LfGB will be an advantage.
• High social competence in collaborating with superiors, colleagues, external service providers and manufacturer.
• Able to work in cross-cultural environment.
• Good communication skills and good command in English.
• Able to work independently, self-driven.
• Hands-on PC skills in MS office.
• Immediate available is preferable.
