Job Description

The position is to engage in product design development throughout the design development process from initial protos through stock approvals. Responsible for production of all adopted products through delivery. Manage final cost, placement, sample/stock delivery, product quality and accountable for offering best cost, on time delivery, meeting quality standard and people development.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct planning, execution and communication of a development strategy that meets and exceeds financial goals
  • Keep abreast of industry changes, market intelligence, fashion trends, quota, new resources and opportunities
  • Drive effective and efficient communication among yarn, Development and Production teams and ensure meeting goals of fittings, budgets and development calendar
  • Identify high-risk areas, which may impact on production and alert relevant parties
  • Contribute in new technique development with factories that meet design requirements and develop new vendors to minimize cost and lead-time associated with geographic changes of garment manufacturers
  • Establish good relationships with major vendors and business associates around the globe
  • Communicate clearly on objectives and direction to the team; coach the team to maintain process efficiencies and meet business goals & requirements
  • Review all adopted product information from Okay-To-Buy transition and follow up to resolve open issues that may impede the production process
  • Ensure high performance on regular reporting, costing analysis, WIP status and deliveries
  • Work proactively, anticipating any issues that may impact delivery, prices and reinforce quality assurance
  • Lead the team for troubleshoot production problems and work with factory to present solutions to relevant parties
  • Manage and motivate the team to meet business goals & requirements, and maintain process efficiencies. Allocate best talent and effort on different tasks

 Requirement:

  • Diploma in Fashion Textile or above in the relevant disciplines.
  • Experience in higher end fashion brand with high quality standard understanding is essential.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Fluent in English and Chinese verbal and written.
  • Leadership and coaching skill
  • Good knowledge to PC and apparel production system preferred.

  • Good business acumen
