Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop the Luxury/International fashion brands buying strategy for target categories and implement acquisition plan with leading brands
  • Develop marketing strategy and raise awareness of Chinese consumer trends and patterns with Luxry/International brands community
  • Monitor overall catalog performance and adjust strategies internally with merchandising and buying teams
  • maintain the relationship with luxury brands
  • Recruit and manage buying teams 
  • Conduct business development and marketing activities to raise profile of company online shop and value proposition of Chinese consumer market.
  • Negotiate long-term supplier agreements with merchants that ensure sustainable online trade into the VIP.com catalog
  • Develop partnerships with retail online shops to increase cross-border trade traffic
  • Evaluate existing product categories and propose the addition of new ranges by categories to buyers and merchandisers
  • Report quarterly and annual profit and loss status to executive management
  • Demonstrating leadership and business acumen, the incumbent will have managed profit and loss with retail businesses and recent knowledge of e-commerce consumer trends.

 

Requirement:

Educational background: Fashion,marketing,trading or textile

Professional background: 6-10 years in  international fashion and Luxury brands and,with e commerce experience is plus.

Personal skills:

The incumbent will have hands-on work experience in merchandising and/or BD responsibilities with retail related organizations or international trading agencies.

Language skills: Fluency in English and European language will be required.

l  The successful executive will be a key driver in raising awareness with luxury/international brands to trade with the company’s online shop targeting Chinese consumers.

l  The candidate will have an appreciation of the China marketplace from a global perspective or previous assignments in Asia Pacific. 

l  This is a leadership role that requires an entrepreneurial minded professional to navigate the business successfully through high level industry networks and motivating the local team effectively.

l  The incumbent should adapt to an entrepreneurial culture and fast-changing business environment.
