Buyer in Global Beauty Gifts is a key commercial and project manager role in leading all Asia buying activities including sourcing, development and delivery of Beauty Gifts to international markets and retailers as well as supplier management and project management.

In Beauty Gifts, formulated products including toiletries and cosmetics items are packaged together with accessories and hard goods to deliver value and newness to customers. We develop beauty gifts for fabulous global brands including No.7, S&G, Sleek, Ted Baker, Jack Wills etc.

 Responsibilities & Specific Accountabilities

•  Source and develop gifting items with development guides, simple briefing notes or suggest products which fit into various brands
• Provide sourcing solutions according to corporate strategy and plan and understand of markets
• Identify the best in class manufacturers, manage and develop suppliers and build supplier relationship
• Responsible for end-to-end project management - manage critical path & risk assessment, lead cross functional teams to deliver projects and achieve KPIs
• Negotiate the commercial benefits to bring the best value products to our customers
• Support on Asia buying activities (e.g. organizing buying trips) as well as supplier management and programme management. 

Key Position Requirements

• University Graduate or equivalent
• At least 3 years of solid experience in categories related to Gifting
• Sizeable buying office experience would be preferred; experience in manufacturing environment would be an advantage 
• Experience with the UK and US retail market, regulatory requirements and sound product knowledge 
• Understanding on formulated products and gift item requirements will be beneficial
• Preferable with experience on Brand development on gifting
• Possess a high level of initiative and integrity under a dynamic and competitive environment
• Strong project management, interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Strong Team player within own team and with cross-functional team with excellent communication skills
• Strong command of English, both written and verbal, and Putonghua
• High proficiency in MS Excel skills
