Job Description

General Summary:

The Data Analyst, Global Sourcing manages data and conducts in-depth data analysis using a cross functional knowledge of: global sourcing, merchandising, supply chain, and operations to identify areas of financial opportunity. They provide data and insight that ensures the successful execution of joint global sourcing and merchandising initiatives. Supports DGGS Merchandising and Operations teams in management and execution of sourcing, purchasing, and operational activity to help maximize sales and gross margin opportunities specific to successful Global Sourcing efforts.

Support Senior Business Analyst to develop tools and report for analysis and evaluation.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Executes special projects and analysis requiring integration between Sourcing, Merchandising, and US based Merchandising/Sourcing teams
Utilize available tools (Excel, Access, 1010Data, WebFocus) to identify and quantify Sourcing performance and savings opportunities
Perform regular data and exception management analysis to surface opportunities and audit gaps in our sourcing financial performance

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ability to analyze quantitative and qualitative data to develop reports for sourcing and merchandising
Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
Excellent computer skills in MS Office including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access and database applications.

Work Experience &/or Education:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
2 - 4 years relevant experience in global sourcing and retail merchandising preferred
