Job Description

Duties:

  • Assist Disaster Management System Building Manager (DMSBM) in developing manuals and training programs of HKRC-supported Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) Programmes in Mainland China, and deliver training to local counterparts. 
  • Assist to promote a learning culture in International and Relief Service Department, and facilitate quality and consistency of monitoring & evaluation practices across program areas and teams include conducting or organizing programme review and evaluation of Disaster Management Programmes in Mainland China. 
  • Assist DMSBM on coordination of planning and implementation of strategic plan and annual plan, and assist DMSBM in ensuring efficient team management whenever appropriate and needed.
  • Occasional travel to Mainland China is required.

Requirements:

  • University Degree Holder, preferably in Social Science Discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years postgraduate work experience, with at least three year solid project management experiences in humanitarian, disaster management or development sector. Previous work experience in China is preferred. 
  • Strong presentation and training skills. Experience in Learning and Development / Adult Education / Knowledge Management is an advantage.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua).
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrated leadership and able to work in a team and with people from different background.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, independent, able to work in a multi-disciplinary team and under pressure.
