Job Description

Habitat for Humanity Hong Kong is currently seeking a talented individual for the role of Finance and Administration Manager. Reporting to the CEO, this position is responsible for oversight of the office’s finance and administrative function. This extends to include legal compliance and liaison with board of directors.  
 
Key responsibilities:
 
Finance

  • Monitor and control financial accounting operations, with a focus on financial systems management and development;
  • Prepare and review financial analysis and management reports, provide advice to management on finance related matters;
  • Coordinate audit and budgeting processes;
  • Monitor compliance and develop effective financial controls and procedures;
  • Manage, provide training and develop Finance Officer;
  • Oversee the financial management and compliance of grants from institutions and governments;
  • Lead ad hoc projects;

 
Administration

  • Ensure legal compliance (filing required paperwork with authorities) and maintaining filing system.
  • Process all compensation and benefits administration, including monthly payroll and annual budgeting.
     
    Support CEO in ensuring employee safety, welfare, wellness and health, particularly when related to the workplace.
  • Manage administrative activities that facilitate the smooth running of the office, managing office operations that include dealing with vendors, contractors, building management etc.
  • Supervise the Finance Officer, Administration Officer and Janitor.
  • Provide secretarial support to the board of directors.

 
Required skills

  • Bachelor degree holder in Accounting/Finance
  • Certified Public Accountant or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of Supervisory/Managerial Level in Finance and office administration, and/or related responsibilities
  • Experience in grant financial management, specially government grants, preferred 
  • Non-profit sector experience preferred 
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Good oral and written communication aptitude with excellent interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Strong communications skills and excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese & Putonghua)
  • Ability to complete multiple projects concurrently while balancing competing priorities; ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in computer software such as Sun System, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook;
  • Knowledge of, and passion for, Habitat's vision
