Responsibilities

• Reviewing the Group’s financials and ensure full compliance with accounting standards, tax requirements and loan covenants
• Assisting management in strengthening corporate governance, risk management and internal control policies and procedures
• Directing accounts department in closing and audit process with external auditors and assisting in tax planning
• Driving accounting system improvement to assist budgeting and financial analysis.
• Assisting in establishing effective cost control policies and procedures
• Reviewing and monitoring Group’s annual budget and deliver financial analysis and insight on actual versus budget
• Rectifying Group’s historical accounting issues and assisting management to optimize the Group’s idle assets
• Preparing timely financial reports and analysis and monitoring Group’s cash flow forecast.
• Assisting CFO in preparing Group’s scenario and sensitivity analysis and reviewing and controlling of PRC accounts
• Assisting CFO in developing finance team with focus on training and job rotation.

Requirements

• Accounting/Finance degree or related discipline
• A minimum of 6 years solid relevant experience
• Experience in ship owning and ship finance preferred
• Knowledge of accounting, Hong Kong taxation and PRC rules and regulations will be added advantages
• Liaise and coordinate with different disciplines in different levels
• Strategic, good business acumen and communication skills
• Proficiency in spoken and written English and Putonghua
