Provide quality regular reporting submissions for EEV reporting (new business reporting, free surplus generation, value of in-force and EEV analysis of movement), prepare financial analysis for Business Plan, forecast work & Group Risk Appetite, and contribute in the preparation of strategic and financial information to senior management. Support model development including various model enhancements and the model maintenance for EEV reporting.
Job Responsibilities:
- EEV Reporting: Prepare the EEV financial results on a regular basis, including new business profitability, free surplus generation, value of in-force, EEV analysis of movement and experience variance.
- Business Plan & Forecasting: Prepare the actuarial analysis for the financial KPIs for Business Plan and provide regular forecast on these KPIs to senior management to facilitate the monitoring of business performance against targets. Conduct the Group Risk Appetite to identify the underlying risks and ensure the resilience of the financial KPIs. Implement the initiatives to improve & outperform the financial KPIs.
- Model Management: Maintain the actuarial models for EEV reporting purpose, including implementation of various model enhancements and perform model controls and documentations for model changes.
- Economic Assumptions: Derive the economic assumptions based on the parameters set out by Group & Regional offices. Work closely with the Group & Regional offices on refining the basis of the stochastic simulations.
- Experience Monitoring: Work closely with other teams to monitor the operating experiences, including persistency, claims and expenses, and highlight the necessity for ad-hoc deep dive exercise, if needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Strong technical, analytical and problem solving skills
- Good communication skills and presentation skills, both written and spoken
- Able to work a fast-paced business environment and perform multiple tasks when needed
- Associate of the Societies of Actuaries or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
Skills/Knowledge:
- Knowledge in financial reporting, in particular EEV reporting, is a plus
- Strong Prophet modelling skills
