Global American FORTUNE 500 insurance financial services group is looking for an experienced Data Analytics professional to work in their coveted Data Administration Team responsible for the end-to-end processing of all client data.  Overseeing a small team of data experts the successful incumbent will oversee key analytics projects as well as establish and champion a stable and scalable data governance system.   

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Associate Director, Data Analytics and Administration to provide mentoring to team members and assist in building and maintaining the administration systems, procedures, and documentation to successfully administer business.
• Responsible for the data governance processes, the assessment and remediation of data quality related issues and participating in the development of local and corporate standards, procedures, and process improvements.
• Ensure all data management processes and standards are in accordance with divisional and corporate standards.
• Ensure that the functionality of the administration systems will address the business needs.
• Ensure that the data is accurate for input to accounting records, valuation systems, regulatory returns and other required information for both business and financial reporting purposes.
• Assist build and execute the data strategy and plan. This will include capability and roadmap development as well as identify areas of priority.
• Perform data mining and analytics to support ongoing continuous risk monitoring and risk assessments of operational or financial data to recognize patterns and trends.
• Facilitate and provide financial analytics on pricing and product profitability.  Close working relationship with Actuarial Pricing and Valuation teams.
• Collaborate with the product development team to define data analytics that can be integrated into our business models and tactics.

 Requirements:

• University degree in mathematics, statistics, information technology, Actuarial science, or other related disciplines.
• 6+ years of related work experience in life insurance/reinsurance.
• Detail orientated and has a strong sense of data management. 
• Advanced SQL and VBA programming experience.
