Job Description:

• Identify research topics and perform research with the aim of promoting understanding of fundamental technologies related to the R&D of the Company’s products and roadmap;
• Design and perform experiments and/or theoretical modelling, collect and analyze data;
• Responsible for academic paper publications, technical media releases based on research outcomes of the research and engineering teams;
• Drafting and preparation of engineering protocols;
• Analyze competitive landscape from a technical perspective, including but not limited to patents, literature and emerging products in the market; and
• Keep management and engineering team up-to-date in respect of new technological developments related to our projects.

Candidates are expected to fulfill most of the following requirements:

• An honors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Bio-Medical Engineering or other relevant studies;
• MPhil or PhD degree, with a proven track record in research & publication preferably in the following fields:
• Robotics design and engineering
• Mechanical or Electrical engineering (especially on design of precision electro-mechanical systems)
• Finite Element Method (FEM) analysis – kinematics and dynamics
• Control Engineering (such as control in 3-dimensional space, haptic feedback control, object detection techniques for mobile robot, etc.)
• Other area that may advance the technical leadership of the company
  
• At least 3-years' solid research experience including publication writing in peer-reviewed journals;
• Self-motivated, honest, reliable, strong organizational skills;
• Ability to work independently and in a team;
• Good command of English, Cantonese, and preferably Putonghua;
• Excellent written English is a must; and
• Applicant is required to submit copies of his/her academic papers and other published work; MPhil and/or PhD thesis shall be submitted for reference
