Location: Hong Kong

The position is mainly responsible for LED lighting products development. He/She will be assigned to work with our RD team in HKSTP. The position will focus on the development process from initial technical research, prototypes preparation, engineering samples build, testing and validation, product certification to mass production. The candidate will also have a chance to work with our RD team in DG China.


Job Scope:

• Responsible for the design of drivers/control gear for LED Luminaries based on required product specification
• Definition of system/subsystem architecture and design target
• Define testing and validation procedures and methodology.
• Work with mechanical engineer, electronic engineer and project leader to complete the project tasks.
• Occasional travel to PRC supporting R&D activities is required.

Requirements:

• Degree or above in Electronic Engineering from reputed institution.
• 3-5 years development experience in power suppliers design and related work experience.
• Fresh graduates or with less experience will be considered as RD Engineer.
• Knowledge of power semiconductors devices (rectifiers, bipolar transistors, MOSFETS, thyristors, IGBTs, etc.).
• Familiar with different topologies of switch-mode converters such as bulk, bulk-boost, fly-back type.
• Familiar with schematic capture, BOM creation, design validation test and regulatory approval such as safety and EMI test.
• Knowledge of LED characteristic/behavior, thermal management is a must.
• Knowledge of using microcontroller for LED lighting will be an added advantage.
• Must be a team player and willing to go extra mile in a true R&D environment.
• Applicant with certificates of Registration of Electrical Worker Grade A will be an advantage.
