Job Description
The American Club’s Country Store in Tai Tam, is looking for an enthusiastic Retail Store Manager. Great leadership skills, a passion for American produce along with retail savvy is what we’re looking for! This role seeks a star who can tap the full potential of the store and take it to the next level by developing corporate and online sales and can use intelligent promotional tactics to reach Members. Sourcing unique and classic American product lines will be key as will maximizing wine and beverage promotions.

Job Summary:
This position takes charge of the Country Store sales, promotions and visual merchandising, inventory as well as delivery orders. The Retail Store Manager handles all groceries, beverages, and non-food items, manages and organizes the County Store team to promote sales and bring revenue to the Club. This highly skilled and talented professional implements and maintains a product selection that perfectly suit Members’ need.
Job Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Strategic Partner
o Partner closely with Director of F&B and Assistant General Manager to create yearly marketing plan and promotions according to the seasonality, festive and Club Events
o Making sound financial judgments in terms of budget proposal, review and execution
o Lead the team to achieve the goals and always act as an example to drive results
o Be a great leader to coach, motivate and communicate with his/her team effectively
o Build trust within the team as well as across departments
- Managing Day-to-Day Operations
o Create and develop constructive ideas to increase revenues based on sales data and Members’ feedback
o Partner with F&B outlets and kitchen to maximize the selling potentials as well as leveraging the resources
o Maintain attractive visual merchandising and uplift the floor standard
o Build positive relationship with Members, capture and engage Members’ attention to promotions, new products and or service
o Build positive relationship with Suppliers and featuring the product range with American identity
Job Requirements:
- Education and Experience
o High School Graduate or above
o 5+ years merchandising experience in a high-end retail establishment
o Knowledge of American groceries and brands and connections with local suppliers. A good understanding of retail sector in Hong Kong and U.S.
o Prior customer service experience
- Skills
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills in in English and spoken Cantonese
o Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
o Great problem solving skills with Can-do attitude
o Great organizational skills and detail oriented
o Computer literate and proficient in managing POS & inventory system
o Good physique
