Job Description
Job Duties:
- Provide database administration, configuration, tuning and maintenance on databases.
- Responsible for database backup strategy, system disaster recovery
- Provide production support on Database in Unix / Windows environments
- Work in team and support developers on DB-specific issues and optimizations
- Responsible for investigating and diagnosing production issues or outages
- Perform patch installations/upgrades of operating system and database
Requirements:
- Degree holder in Computer Science or related discipline
- Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in Oracle / MSSQL / DB2 / MySQL Database administration
- Hands-on experience in database installation, backup & performance monitoring and tuning
- Experience in Oracle 9i / 10g / 11g is an added advantage
- Familiar with Window / UNIX / Linux platform
- Holder of OCA / OCP / IBM DB2 certificate is preferred
- A team player with analytical and problem solving mind
- Good command of spoken and written English and Cantonese; Mandarin is a plus
- Candidate with more experience will be considered as Senior Database Administrator
- HK Permanent Resident is required
