Engineer (Systems Assurance)

Our client's Strategic Business Solutions Department provides high quality end-to-end business application solutions to the portfolios of Betting Systems, E-Channels, Enterprise Integration, and strategic programmes project management and delivery.

Their Systems Assurance and Release Management Section ensures quality of IT system deliverables by conducting appropriate and stringent testing, continual improvement on testing practices, and providing independent opinions on system quality metrics to management.

The Job

You will:

• conduct system testing over company software modules
• write test plan, test cases and business scenarios base on business requirements 
• execute test scripts and cases
• report, document and track software issues
• document test results and provide test reports
• responsible for system installation, setup and configuring the test environment 
• provide assistance in system implementation
• work closely with business users, business analyst and development team

About You

You should:

• Have a Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or relevant discipline
• Have minimum 3 years in system testing experience in software testing, and solid experience on writing test plan and test cases
• Have knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle, QA process, methodologies, and best practices
• Have knowledge in Microsoft Window system, Internet protocols such as FTP, HTTP, XML; and script language such as SQL/DB stored procedures
• Have basic knowledge of Test Automation and DevOps
• Be a fast learner, logical thinking and pay attention to details
• Work independently, be innovative and self-motivated, have strong problem solving skills and be able to work in a high-pace environment
• Be a good team player with excellent communication skills
• Have good command of written and spoken English

Technical Lead (Development Testing)

The Department

Our client's Information Technology and Sustainability Division will provide innovative technology solutions that contribute significantly to the mission and strategic objectives.

The Job

• Creating test packages (test scenarios, test cases, test data) based on specifications and requirements for both manual and automated test execution
• Maintaining traceability and ensuring test coverage of the test packages
• Developing test assets (test automation framework, playlists, test scripts, test data repository, test management platform connectors) for automated testing
• Ensuring Reusability and Maintainability of the automated test assets
• Executing test cases within defined test cycles and documenting results and findings
• Performing day-to-day testing environment operations as per test execution plan
• Collaborating with technical teams and users to ensure proper defect resolution
• Developing daily test execution plan based on release plan and any dependency
• Building or sourcing for suitable test tools
• Prioritize test execution effort using risk-based approach

About you

You should have:

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, IT or equivalent
• Min 6 years’ experience in software development and design, software quality or systems assurance of large scale system
• Experience in designing test specifications (test Scenarios, test cases, test data) and test scripts for both automated and manual testing
• Working knowledge of test management tools (e.g. HP ALM, JIRA, TFS)
• Experience in test automation and service virtualization tools highly preferred
• Experience in scripting technologies (e.g. Python, Perl, VBA, Unix Shell) or developing software in C#/Java highly preferred
• Knowledge of SDLC, software testing methodology and practices
• Experience in Agile software development would be an advantage
• International Software Testing Qualification Board (ISTQB) Tester Certification would be advantage
• English proficiency (Written and spoken) is mandatory; Cantonese and Putonghua are preferred.
